Code of Conduct

Business Buzz is an open business forum. We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or religion.

This code of conduct outlines our expectations for participant/attendee behaviour as well as the consequences for unacceptable behaviour.

Code of Conduct

  • Conduct yourself honestly, ethically and in a professional manner.
  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of other participants and do not discriminate.
  • Communicate with a manner of respect and care.
  • Be courteous to all those you come into contact with at Business Buzz.
  • Respect diversity, different roles and boundaries.
  • Do not engage in any form of discrimination or harassment.
  • Harassment is against the law when the unwanted behaviour is related to one of the following: age, sex, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation.
  • Do not conduct yourself in any rude or immoral manner, including the use of profane language, gestures, insults or other such misbehaviour.
  • We do not allow the promotion of unregulated products or services in industries that are required to be regulated in the UK.
  • Attendees are only allowed to use contact details and information of other participants’ data with appropriate consent and inline with GDPR government guidelines.

Business Buzz does not hold any responsibility for any of the connections you make at our events, as with all businesses transactions you are responsible for doing your own due diligence before entering into any formal relationship with other attendees.

We reserve the right to remove any person from our events who we have reasonable grounds to believe are not abiding to the above code of conduct.

We expect all participants/attendees to abide by this code of conduct at all of our Business Buzz events including any social activities we may run.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour
Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in unacceptable behaviour, the Host may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the event, and future events, without warning or refund.

What to Do If You Witness or Are a Victim of Unacceptable Behaviour
If you are subjected to unacceptable behaviour, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns during the event, please notify a member of the Business Buzz team as soon as possible. All reports will remain completely confidential.
You can report unacceptable behaviour to any member of the Business Buzz team by visiting the reception desk where someone will come and assist you. Or if you prefer you can email admin@business-buzz.org
